Kintaro is now 26 yrs old. Established in 1997 at 24 Young street Neutral Bay. Moved to 19 Young street Neutral Bay in 2015. And now in Collaroy from January 2021.
Kintaro's motto is to serve a Real Traditional Authentic Japanese food to the local people with Reasonable price.
Just like "Kintaro boy," who became a strong Samurai*侍 after coming of age. Kintaro is well known in Japan as a strong, kind, friendly boy.
We want to provide Good, Healthy, Real Japanese food to the local people.
Owner chef Masa has 2 daughters and he never cooks any food that he cannot be proud to his family. For Masa, All the customers are his family too.
We want you all to enjoy our real Japanese food. And if you like, Japanese beers and Sake, too!

Owner chef, Masa
Masa is the 3rd owner of Kintaro, since 2005, Oct 1st.
He was grown up in Sydney from 2 to 8, and came back to Sydney when he was 28 years old.
He was running a Gyoza restaurant in Tokyo before. Learnt simple food is most deep, complicated, difficult, but fun.
"In the world of food there is no goal nor end. Forever learning," he says.
When he teaches staff, he always says, "cooking is affection, love."
